True Love
Once upon a time, in a small village near the mountains, lived a little girl named Lily and her younger brother, Leo. Lily was ten years old, and Leo was seven. Their parents worked hard in the fields all day, so Lily always took care of her little brother. They did everything together. They shared their toys, walked to school hand-in-hand, and told each other stories before going to sleep. Their bond of love and devotion was known to everyone in the village. The Day of the Storm One sunny afternoon, while their parents were far away in the fields, Lily and Leo went to the nearby forest to pick wild berries. They were laughing and filling their small baskets when suddenly, the sky turned dark. Huge, gray clouds covered the sun, and a strong wind began to blow. "Leo, a storm is coming! We must go home," Lily said, holding her brother's hand tightly. As they ran back, the rain started pouring heavily. The ground became muddy and slippery. Suddenly, Leo slipped and fell into a small, steep ditch. He hurt his ankle and could not stand up. "Lily, I'm scared! My leg hurts," Leo cried, tears mixing with the rain on his face. A Sister’s Devotion Lily was scared too, but she knew she had to be brave for her brother. She climbed down into the ditch without hesitating. "Don't worry, Leo. I am here. I will not leave you," she said softly, wiping his tears. Lily tried to pull him up, but the mud was too slippery, and Leo was too heavy for her to lift completely. Instead of giving up and running to get help alone, Lily decided to protect him. She sat next to Leo in the muddy ditch, wrapped her arms around him, and covered him with her own sweater to keep him warm and dry. For two long hours, as the thunder crashed and the rain beat down, Lily stayed right there. She hugged Leo tightly, singing his favorite songs to keep him calm. She used her own body as a shield against the cold wind and rain. Safe and Sound Finally, the storm stopped, and the sun came out. Their worried parents, along with the villagers, came searching for them. They found the siblings in the ditch, fast asleep and locked in a tight embrace. When their father lifted them out, Leo smiled and said, "I wasn't scared at all. Lily was my shield." The villagers praised Lily for her incredible devotion and bravery. From that day on, everyone knew that no storm could ever break the deep love between this sister and brother. Moral of the Story: True love and devotion mean standing by each other's side and protecting one another, no matter how difficult the situation gets.
